C'est un éditeur pour Doom

SLADE3 est un éditeur moderne pour les jeux et ports sources basés sur le moteur de Doom. Il peut afficher, modifier et écrire de nombreux formats différents, spécifiques au jeu, et même effectuer des conversions entre certains d'entre eux, ou de / vers d'autres formats génériques tels que le PNG.

SLADE3 peut être considéré comme un successeur de SLumpEd et de SLADE. Il combine les fonctionnalités des deux pour créer un éditeur tout-en-un. Pourquoi conserve-t-il le nom de ce qui n'était auparavant qu'un éditeur de carte? Parce que ça lui va bien :)

Comme avec SLumpEd et les versions précédentes de SLADE, SLADE3 est entièrement multi-plateforme. Il peut être exécuté sur différents systèmes d'exploitation, notamment Windows, Linux et Mac OS/X. Aussi, quel que soit votre système d'exploitation préféré, SLADE3 est disponible pour vous.

It's a Doom Editor

SLADE3 is a modern editor for Doom-engine based games and source ports. It has the ability to view, modify, and write many different game-specific formats, and even convert between some of them, or from/to other generic formats such as PNG.

SLADE3 can be considered a successor to both SLumpEd and SLADE - it combines the features of both, to create an all-in-one editor. Why does it keep the name of what was previously just a map editor? Because it fits :)

As with SLumpEd and previous versions of SLADE, SLADE3 is fully multi-platform. It can be run on various operating systems, including Windows, Linux and Mac OS/X. So no matter your preferred OS, SLADE3 is available for you.
